Terms & Conditions

All cakes made by Linzi Turner and Delicious by Linzi are subject to the following terms and conditions:

INGREDIENTS

All of our ingredients are of the highest quality - fruit cakes may contain nuts, traces of nuts or nut oil. Sponge - flavoured and chocolate - are made to be eaten on the day of the celebration. The cakes are made in premises in which nuts are used.  Every effort is taken to keep ingredients separate, however, my products may contain traces of nuts and/or nut oil.

STORAGE

Sugarpaste (the soft icing covering the cake) is not designed to be refrigerated and as such, cakes with this icing should be stored in a cool dry place, preferably in the box in which it was supplied. Refrigeration may cause colours to run and the icing to turn sticky.

ORDERS

I prefer at least 3 months notice for wedding cakes, however, I will accept short notice cakes subject to the availability of the date required.

Any cake ordered from a picture or a photo of a cake produced by another cake maker will on be reproduced as my interpretation of that cake and will not be an exact reproduction of the cake in the picture/photo.

DEPOSITS

I require a 50% booking in payment for placement of all celebration cakes, and a 25% booking in payment on all wedding cakes.  Your booking is only confirmed and guaranteed once your booking in payment has been received and showing as cleared funds in my account.  This amount will the be deducted from your final balance.  All booking in payments are NON REFUNDABLE.

FINAL BALANCE PAYMENTS

Final balance payments for celebration cakes are due at time of collection?delivery.  Final balance payments for wedding cake orders or orders with an order value of £250.00 or more will be due 4 weeks prior to the wedding date (or celebration date).  This is non negotiable and if payment has not been received by the date due, your order will be void and any monies paid as a booking in fee will be non refundable.

CANCELLATIONS (when design has been chosen)

Booking in payments are non-refundable and non transferable.  Full payment of the cake balance is required if cancellation is within 1 month of the wedding date.  50% of cake balance is required if cancellation is within 3-1 months of the wedding date (celebration date).  All cancellations must be submitted by email and it is the responsibility of the client to ensure receipt of the cancellation.  On receipt of the cancellation, you will be sent confirmation and information of any amounts due at the time of cancellation.  These amounts must be paid within 7 days of the confirmation letter - any unpaid balances will be pursued through the small claims court and the client will be responsible for costs and expenses incurred in the process.

CANCELLATIONS (when design has not been chosen)

Booking in payments are non refundable and non transferable.  If cake design has not been confirmed 3 months prior to the wedding date, an automatic £200 balance figure is used as outstanding for cancellation purposes. If the cake is cancelled 1 month prior to he wedding date, the whole of this figure becomes due.  Once the cake design has been chosen, the £200 is replaced by the actual cost of the cake chosen, and all terms and conditions apply as above in section Cancellation when design has been chosen.

DISPUTES

Any refunds given for disputes regarding a cake design or reproduction of a design is completely at the discretion of Delicious by Linzi and are not automatic.  Full refunds will never be given for any cake which has been consumed - regardless of the dispute - any consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied.

All cakes delivered to venues are photographed from various angles to show cake quality and finish on deliver - therefore, we do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to the cake or items with the cake such as knives, decorations and stands once the cake has been delivered to a venue, or collected from me, or for loss, damage or non-delivery under unavoidable or exceptional circumstances.  This in no way affects your statutory rights.

DELIVERY

Your cake will be delivered and set up subject to availability: any arrangements for delivery may be subject to change, however, prior notice will be given where possible.  Cakes are to be collected from me at a prearranged time and date only, and are your responsibility once they have left my premises. Please note that the best way to transport your cake/cupcakes is flat in the boot of the vehicle and should never be transported on a passenger knee or the seat as the cake can slide off and become damaged.

PUBLICATION

I reserve the right to use any image of a cake made by Delicious by Linzi for publication at a later date.

​

RETURN OF HIRED EQUIPMENT

A hire charge and a deposit is taken for all equipment ie cake stands, cake knives, platters etc. 

All equipment must be returned within 3 days of the wedding date (unless alternative arrangements have been agreed prior to the wedding/event) or extra charges may be levied to cover hire costs.

Any damages to equipment will incur a reduction of deposit returned in order to cover costs, repair or replacement.
